(CMRI) Facilities
Facilities Overview
(Field-Based Research Infrastructure, Physical Modeling and Experimental Halls, Specialized Laboratories, Water Treatment and Reuse Facilities, Aquatic Ecosystems and Weed Management).
Delta - Barrage Research Station
Delta Barrage research station was established in 1981 to support the research programs and studies on herbivorous fish (grass carp) for the biological control of aquatic weeds. The station was subjected to several upgrading stages and includes several labs equipped with the required facilities. The station is also provided with 11 earthen ponds with a total area of 3000 m2 for raising grass carp and fingerlings.
Bahteam research station
The station was established for running experiments on water consumption by aquatic weeds and also for using aquatic weeds in water treatment.
The station includes four earthen ponds with a total area of 2050 m2 for raising grass carp brood stock and fingerlings.
Field and Scientific Equipment
CMRI is well equipped with various modern equipment and computer facilities, programs that support research studies, and enable precise analytical results.
This equipment and research apparatus are used for terrestrial surveys, electromagnetic measurements of water velocity, echo sounders for aquatic weed surveys, GPS, and hydraulic parameters.
